The California doctor who treated the mother of octuplets has another patient in her late 40s who is pregnant with quadruplets, The Los Angeles Times reports. The woman wanted one baby, but the doctor transferred at least seven embryos; now she’s on bed rest and hospitalized.
Autism Groups Unconvinced by Judges’ Ruling
Autism advocacy groups say the ruling handed down on Thursday by a special court has not convinced them there is no link between autism and vaccines, ABC News reports. The groups, including Autism Speaks and Talk About Curing Autism, said the ruling does not resolve all their questions and that they remain concerned about the safety of vaccines.
Condom Sales Increasing
USA Today reports sales of condoms are up even as other retail items languish during the recession. Sales of condoms increased 5 percent during the last quarter of 2008, compared to the last quarter of 2007, according to the Nielsen Co.

Legionnaire’s Disease Discovered in Atlanta Hospital
An Atlanta hospital was the source of bacteria that caused Legionnaires’ disease in four patients, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Water tests on Thursday confirmed two hospital units were the source of the disease; the units have been closed since last week.
