Scientists were able to decode the genome brings the heart rate occurred. Medical researchers in Italy were able to discover a gene that trace the number of ion channels, makes the heart beat.

Experts hope the discovery of cardiac regulatory genes, could help to discover new drugs to treat or prevent heart attacks and other heart disease.Heart disease are one of major causes of death in  the world that annually more than seven million people die of the disease risk.

Molecular Physiology and Neurobiology Laboratory researchers Manchester University, discovered a gene called Hcn4. This gene acts on an ion channel and regulates heart rate.In the presence of these channels is essential for heart cells and set up the moment rate. These channels were discovered in the 70’s.

Relationship between these channels and activity palpitations was approved by the previous research, But was not yet clear  the direct cause of these channels function to control the rhythm of activity and number of beats.
