Human Brain can Predict Future(fMRI)

By Live Dr - Fri Jul 01, 9:19 am

We can predict our future not by means of  a foreteller but actually from our own Brain.Yes this is no rumour  just to skip, its a fact and a great achievement in the integration of mankind. Thanks to the research crew from WESTERN ONTARIO UNIVERSITY for their fabulous finding and research.Their research work were published in THE JOURNAL OF NEURAL SCIENCE.This research work was funded by CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF HEALTH RESEARCH.

JODY CULHAM, senior author said”Neuroimaging allows us to look at how action planning unfolds within human brain areas without having to insert electrodes directly into the human brain. This is obviously far less intrusive,”

A Phd student from the western university JASON GALLIVAN said,”This is a considerable step forward in our understanding of how the human brain plans actions.Being able to predict a human’s desired movements using brain signals takes us one step closer to using those signals to control prosthetic limbs in movement-impaired patient populations, like those who suffer from spinal cord injuries or locked-in syndrome.”

The research process lasted for a year. The participant’s brain activity was scanned by Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging(fMRI) while they were performing three simple actions , 1.Holding the top of the object,2.Holding the bottom of the object,3.Reaching out to the object and touching it.As a result the research team found out that they could better predict the actions of the individual from the signals from the brain regions even before the action is done.

This is a great leap forward in the development of the science and technology and particularly in neurology a greater achievement to admire.

  1. I’m really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any
web browser compatibility problems? A small number of

Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?
