we are really thankful to u as u are here to help us.
well, I would like to ask u something.
I just started my 3rd year. I totally screwed up the 1st 2 years in my medical school. So, i have very little idea about Anatomy, Physio, Biochem, Pathology & Microbio (These were the subjects we had in the 1st 2 years). In this year we have Pharmacology, Preventive and social medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Anaesthesia, radiology & Internal Medicine. I seriously want to start studying now. And I took the 1st step too for that by forming a study group with my friends. But I have no idea how to proceed. Which are the subjects needed to be given more importance? What about the subjects I missed in my 1st 2 years? Should I go back and study them? If so, how can I study the subjects we are going to have? If possible, plz tell me the subjects that I can just avoid completely so that I can concentrate more on the important subjects.. Now I am really scared when saw the last FMGE results
Sorry for such a long post.
we all wherever we do our medschool from we all mind it all of us screw up the first professional. There is so much time lost in adapting to the new place medschool books etc that we all end up knowing too little and just managing to clear our exams and move on to the next prof. So dont worry happened to you, me and almost everybody
My advise to you is concentrate on the subjects that ur dng this prof cos they are the most tough and important. Pharmacology, Preventive and social medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Anaesthesia, radiology & Internal Medicine. So for the moment this should be your first priorty. Then u can gradually look for free time and finish what u ve left but that is not the top priorty now.
Medicine and Surgery form the backbone of MEdschool so concentrate on that the most.
We will have time to make for lost subjects when you come back to India also and we can guide you then
“””If possible, plz tell me the subjects that I can just avoid completely so that I can concentrate more on the important subjects””” Stop looking for easy way outs you have loads of time a good six months is enough for MCI screening with proper guidance so dont worry about leaing things now
My advise is concentrate on the subjects you have now.. read them thorough and according to Indian pattern then you can gradually gear it up… u ve a total of 19 subjects in MCI screenings and ur dng 7 in this year make them thorough…
We recommend in addition to our notes some books for you at this stage-
Like Radiology Book by me and Anesthesia by Dr Ajai Yadav. PSM by Park and Park.
My best wishes. Feel free to discuss further anytime and use my phone number given in profile and email. Happy to help anytime.
